stones in his pockets

A dark comedy by Marie Jones.

Premiere: January 13, 2016

Directed by Evanthia Sofronidou and featuring Nikos Ortetzatos and Grigoris Papadopoulos in 15 roles.

Written in 1996, the play is set in Kerry - a province in south-west Ireland - and follows the story of Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn, two extras involved in the filming of a Hollywood extravaganza.
Extras, directors, stars, cows, assistants, priests, caravans, vast meadows, and a tragic death are the yeast for an orchestral cacophony of comic yet tragic situations, as only life knows how to compose.
The two characters, an adorable and charismatic duo, offer a delightful two-man show with sparkling dialogue, fast-paced dialogue, constant changes and multiple transformations that contribute to the essence of the play, the wonder of the play.

Extras, directors, stars, cows, assistants, priests, caravans, vast meadows, and a tragic death...
