The opening event of the 48th Dimitria at the port of Thessaloniki is a... performance of alternating actions, which encapsulates the whole of the performing arts. "Symphagomen" combines music, dance and theater events and invites citizens to come together, to share images, sounds, smells and stories, in a human-centered celebration.
Around a huge table, the 48th Dimitria in the role of host, welcomes all the residents and visitors of Thessaloniki, as co-creators.
"Symphagomen", a counter-gift to the "citizen" who gives his presence to the community every day, is a manifesto of strength, joy, creative and emotional joy and euphoria, in which we are all part of it.
